La Jolla Beach and Tennis club, The Marine Room.
Gets flooded every time the tide/waves are high.
They get pissy when you park your bike on the grass.

Have I said lately how much I hate snow....

... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Friday morning through
Saturday evening...

The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a
Winter Storm Watch... which is in effect from Friday morning
through Saturday evening.

* Precipitation type... snow.

* Accumulations... this storm is likely to produce 12 or more
inches of snow in the watch area... with a good chance for
localized amounts over 20 inches.

* Timing... snow is expected to begin around daybreak
Friday... continuing through Saturday evening.

* Temperatures... highs around 30 Friday. Friday night and
Saturday... temperatures will be in the mid to upper 20s.

* Winds... east 5 to 10 mph Friday and Friday night... becoming
north 10 to 20 mph Saturday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

This storm has the potential to be similar to the December 19th storm.
Plan for substantial disruptions to travel Friday afternoon through the
weekend.

Not again....

If this keeps up many in south will have to fly-n-ride to Bike Week because of all the snow that will be laying around. :( From Oct - Jan this winter we are already 24 inches in the surplus of the average snowfall for that time period. If I hear anything about at drought this summer I'm going to bust a cap in somebody. :D ;D :D ;D

same story this side of the pond. The island of Hiddensee just some 100 yards away from the German coast is isolated - ice-breakers gave up, the German Navy has to fly in food and fly out visitors by helicopter - hasn't happened for the last 35 years ...

Now everybody in central Europe is afraid of a sudden rise in temperature expected to happen after next weekend. If all this snow is going to melt in a short time we will be in serious trouble in all those cities with a big river, Prague, Hamburg, Dresden, Cologne ...

Visited my bike yesterday, rode it to the dealer for cat-removal Dec. 27 - no way to test-ride since ...

Well, not really!
Looking at the temp here: 70 on the patio (where I'm into my 2nd beer!
A few clouds, I'd say about 10%
BUT, we are supposed to get rain in a few days! Wahoo~

Is this a typical winter for you guys down south, or did you really get dumped on this year.
