95 upgrade ready
« on: January 05, 2006, 08:47:11 AM »

Finally have the parts to do my 95" upgrade. [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] Initially I was disappointed that the 02 and prior CVO's weren't "Screamin Eagle's"  but the research has been educational and fun. I wanted to keep as much HD as possible even though there are higher performance pieces available.  As I rarely ride over 4500 and usually lower this is what I ended up with :

SE 95" cast flat tops /cylinders
SE performance heads, w Cometic 0.30"
SE adj pushrods
Andrews TW31G with gear drive
Mikuni HSR 42
Dyna TC-88-2 ignition

I already had the stage I with SE II slip-ons

I went with the 31G as it handles the compression better than the 37G, same lift , and comes on a bit sooner.  Steve at GMR Performance was a a big help , he has built several of these. I got my cams from him, he sells Woods as well and the Revolution nikasil kits (98") .

I'll post the dyno when I get it on the road and broken in

The 01 CVO Road Glide was a 95" Screamin Eagle.

The stock FXDWG2/3 were TC88's . The 95" Screamin Eagle came along with the Deuce in 03.

Hey Jeepster , thanks for the reply over on the HD tech forum and welcome aboard

How many miles do you have on the build?

I have 5000 miles on build. I went to 31G cam to get away from pinging with 37G cam. 31G likes high compression ratio. My motor has 10 1/4 to 1. The 31 pulls from around 2200 to 6200 rev limiter.
