I agree. I have two pairs of the SWAT boots.  One for winter/rain  and one for the Texas heat.

The best boots for riding I have found.  And they are reasonable.

I just got a pair of the waterproof insulated swat boots with the air in the sole. Amazing-light and the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. I havn't had a chance to find out exactly how waterproof they are, but that is the reason I bought them so I'm very hopeful.

+1 on the Georgia engineer boots. They are very comforable and last forever.

I was reading this post as I was on the search for a summer boot.  Figured those No Cal boys are pretty well dialed in so found an Original Swat dealer here in So Cal and bought a pair.  I've worn them now on about 5 local rides and they are awesome.  Everything good as mentioned on this post.  Lightweight, comfortable and styling is as good as any other boot (not too much you can do to make a boot stylish...other than to add a piece of chrome to it).  These are a keeper.  When it gets real cold around here (50 degrees)  and maybe a sprinkle in the air, I'll go with my FXRG waterproof boots.  Keep the tips coming.

Second to none!  These boots are more comfortable than my running shoes.  Not the most attractive, but definately the most comfortable.

After reading this thread I sought out and found some Original Swat waterproof boots. Got em from a vendor over by Iron Gate Saloon near the Myrtle Beach dealership last year during the now defunct MBBW, now known as Just Plain Bike Week.  

Anywho, I now can now say that these are GREAT BOOTS! Mine zip up the side and are waterproof with a velcro strap at the top to hold the zipper down. They are light, super support and like wearing good Nike or New Balance athletic shoes. During the winter, I've had some WigWam socks and the combination of the Swat boot and these socks kept my feet perfectly warm in 30 degree rides for over two hours on the road.

If I only had to have one pair of shoes or boots, these would be the ticket.

I have the same boot and I have ridden from Anamosa, IA to Milwaukee in a steady downpour for over six hours and 50 degrees.  Feet stayed dry.

 

I own two pairs, the non-waterproof summer set and the winter and rain waterproof.

Best boots ever.

Kind of like the FXRG stuff....everybody asks is it really waterproof.  I had to walk through water that was several inches deep (up over the bottom half of the laces and up over the toes of the boots) and I was surprised when I pulled them off....feet were completly dry!   I've also rode in down pours and they've stayed dry.

I'm in the market too; have been reading many praises of the Cruiserworks. The 2868 called the Short Zip boot is the one I am after. They are a little pricey but I have worn out 2 pairs of Harley El Pasos in the last 2 years and want to try a step up in quality. Made in USA too. Ed

I had a pair,they were comfortable, put cushion inserts in them and you have a good boot

Picked up a pair of Cruiserworks Zip-up in Daytona.  Put in the arch support inserts and the boots are great.  Highly recommend them.

Used to wear a pair similar to those when I was on motor patrol.  Most comfortable boots I ever wore...
