What's with the critique on the posts ? Are we running a literary site here? Taken as a whole, my post is about someone having a nice ride while commenting on the fact that the factory seems to be getting away from what my (and my friends who won them in Dago) opinion of a CVO bike is. FYI I honestly feel that the people who frequent this site could wield some power with the factory under the right circumstances. In my opinion, the leather tour-pak is not well received by us CVO owners. My comments were meant to test that theory. If I was off base, the the other riders who post on this site would have said so. If not, then we should be exploring ways of getting feedback to the MoCo.As to missing the info on who did the excelllent work on Byron's seat, I missed it in scanning the other posts. I said as much. When reading my posts, please read them in their entirety and respond to the whole and not a specific sentence or phrase. I thank you in advance for that consideration.

Wow...I've got to start reading these threads closer.  Had no idea that it was about unknown group opinions, wielding power with HD, participating in factory engineering and design, or lobbying the MoCo as a group.  I thought it was just about complimenting on a great looking ride while insulting and berating the other SEUC owner's, who invested 35-40k in their bikes, by stating their's "looked like chit" while simultaneously trying to see how many times you could ask the same question.  Wonder how many others missed the point.

Whew!  Right over my head.  Yeah, I don't spend a lot of time in this area, but the action has slowed down in the SEEG area, so I look over here too some.  I love the new 06 ultras, all of them. I have one that is slightly more my favorite, but ever so slightly. I actually really like the look of the leather tourpak and thought that is what this thread was all about.  MMMMM when you take a sentence and whisper in the ear of a friend and that goes around the room.  What did we get at the end of the line?  I love the way that Byronrb has had some pretty darn great mods done to his bike.  I love the seat..... man in my opinion, that looks great.  I think this is where this thread was headed and should stay.  IMHO of course.

Man, these bikes look awesome without the tour pak. I went for a scoot today and it was raining SEUC all day. Saw 2 charcole's and 2 green's. One of the green's had removed his tour pak and I couldn't believe how nice it looked. He said he put his amp in a saddle bag. He was leaving as I was pulling in. I told him about this website and gave out a couple of business cards to the others.

OOhhhh! We're having fun now! Good natured trash talk about others bikes (and riders) is a good thing in my book. Personally, I don't think the MOCO gives a rats a$$ what the members (collectively) here think. I'd be willing to back off that line of thinking if someone could show me a letter from HD stating otherwise. BTW, I like the leather covered tourpak, but that's just me.

thanks guys, I eliminated the amp and harness. Still have front speakers, and rear with cargo pack attached. Just lost the extra amperage. I think it's the same as a stock ultra.

Questions Questions Questions!!! :

Did you find a quick release mount for the tour pak, or is it a lot of work to put it back on??. and if so, what bracket?

Does this eliminate the CB ? wouldnt care if it does, I'd rather have the '05 console anyway.

Whats that between the seat and the console??

Would an '05 lite bar and licence bracket work??

Did it make your paint on your bags stand out more? or make it look better??
