Welcome aboard from Minnesota! Glad you've joined the fun.

The seat on my WG2 looks somewhat similar to the one on the Fat Boy. It took me a while to figure out how to get it off as well as the grab strap is screwed to the fender under the seat. What I have to do is remove the rear screw that holds the seat in place and slide the seat back about 2 inches so that the hook under the front lip comes away from the rear of the tank. Then I lift the front of the seat up above the tank and slide the whole seat forward very carefully (so as not to scratch the tank). This allows me to slide the grab strap over the back of the passenger pillion and remove the seat totally.

If your passenger pillion is attached to the front part of your seat, you may want to try this. Once again, be very careful and move slowly.

Hi everyone.

Thanks again for all of the help.  I called the dealer in WI today and learned that they installed the grab strap wrong at the dealership!!!  No tool kit came with it and it was a star fitting that I didn't have a driver for so I had to take it to my local dealer here in FL who fixed it free of charge (thanks Black Widow!).  Everyone there went nuts over the bike.  I am writing this post from my wife's computer and she had pics of the bike, so here is my new scoot!  :bananarock:

The picture above must have been taken before the grab strap was fixed. I can see how placed like that it would be useless. Glad to hear you got it corrected. :2vrolijk_21:
