Hi - new to CVO and have 2 questions!
« on: December 25, 2009, 10:34:25 PM »

Hi all,

New member from SW FL.  Santa brought me an early present yesterday from my wife & two boys:  a 2010 CVO Fat Bob in Sandstorm - pics to follow as soon as I get to work on Monday - and I have 2 questions I am hoping someone could answer...

#1 - does the bike come with a tool kit and if so, where is it?

#2 - the grab strap on the rear pillion seat is mounted to the SIDE of the rear fender which makes it impossible for me to pull it over the pillion seat and when I removed the pillion, it leaves the grab strap attached.  I went to Harley and pulled up the .pdf instructions for the seat and checked the owner's manual and in both places it shows the strap being looped under the pillion and attached under the washer of the main seat "shoulder bolt."  Those instructions make sense to me because what use is the grab strap if u can't grab it?  I got the bike new directly from a dealer in Milwaukee and that's the way the strap came.  Does anyone know why my bike came that way?  I want to change it but wasn't sure if they did it for safety reasons or something.  Any help is greatly appreciated even though I know this isn't a question forum I thought you guys might be nice to a new member!

Thanks!

Tom

Tom-

My 2010 CVO came with a tool kit, it was in the Saddlebag when I picked it up!!  If you don't have one, I would certainly check with the stealer (dealer)!!
As for your second question:  I have a Street Glide, so it sounds like our grab straps are attached differently, so it might be answered better by someone with a fat bob.  Congrats on the bike, enjoy the site....it is the best one on the net!!       :cucumber: :cucumber: :cucumber:

Thanks!  I'll give the dealer a buzz tomorrow to see what the deal is... hopefully they can answer my Q about the grab strap too.
