Wisconsin Motorcycle Insurance
« on: December 26, 2009, 05:53:31 PM »

So the day after Christmas, I get this GIFT from my insurance
company. It starts out by saying "Due to the passage of the
2009-2010 Wisconsin Budget Bill, the minimum limits for auto
and motorcycle insurance required by Wisconsin law will increase for
Bodily Injury, Property Damage, Medical Expense Payments,
Uninsured Motorist, and Underinsured Motorist". Therefore,
your next renewal premium will be $865.84! My last year
premium was $529.30. This of coarse is for 3 motorcycles, but WTF!
I carry way above the minimum requirements, so I guess I have
to pay for all the people with no insurance?

I got to tell you, enough with all our "wonderful politicans".
"We the people", don't seem to mean ANYTHING! I guess for
us who pay our own way, has nothing to do with what our
country used to stand for! Of coarse the insurance companies
don't seem to mind, if you get what I mean.

Sorry, I'm just venting!!!!

I received the same type of notice on the policies for both of my bikes. Mine went up 55% (no accidents or claims)
This wonderful state does not mandate auto insurance, so we must pay higher rates because of the uninsured and the under insured.
With the price increases,I see more not less uninsured motorists in our state.

$800 for 1 bike here in Texas with a clean record.  Statistics say 40% of our drivers have NO insurance (or have a drivers license, or vehicle registration) Guess who pays for all of that?  As others have brought up - wait 'till we GET to pay for their health insurance also!

Until some worthless politican has the balls to pass laws to impound their cars ON-THE-SPOT, put the criminals in jail, and deport them, it will get a lot worse before it gets any better.

just my opinion.

Even though it is a crime to not be insured and have no license.  The court system and jails are backed up as it is so that is why these people get a slap on the wrist. Impounding the car is a great idea and should be done with stiffer penalities. Someting that will make them think....Oh were talking about criminals...Oops....they might run for fear of loosing the family car and then get into a high speed chase and kill some innocent bystander.  For every idea there is always one or two negative things that can be thought of.  I have no idea what a fix would be.

THIS SUCKS!  It is always the honest hard working people that get punished!!!!!

Reminder: Before this goes to far down the wrong road I'd just like to remind everyone that "politics, political discussions, etc." aren't allowed on this site. Thanks.
