CVO Extra Rear Lights
« on: December 26, 2009, 08:49:35 PM »

Anyone out there tried these lower fender and bag lights?  If so do they work well and most of all do they look good?

They Are Kuryakyn, I saw the fender mount one on e bay for $90 something. Item #400069546088 by bk-rider.  Looks like they might be a worthwhile addition.

I installed the fender tip light, last June, and I really like it. It was easy to install, direct plug in, no splices; and has a factory look to it. It is a running light and a brake light. I strongly recommend.

Thanks, I think I'll go for it, need something in the back and that is the cleanest way to get more light I have seen.

Today must be my lucky day, while cruising E bay I typed in HD rear Fender lights and low and behold there was the light I wanted.  $50.00 and free shipping, can't beat the price and it is brand new.  I'll let you know how it looks when I get it installed.

I think any increased lighting is a good thing in general but if I have a choice i would want the lights higher like the Harley Saddlebag Spoiler lights or like the LED light bar on my tour pak on my 2006.  I would be seen easier by tailgaters in cars or trucks.

I saw those and thought about adding them, but I don't want to have another thing to disconnect when I take my bags off.  I still haven't completely dismissed the idea.  They look like they would be a nice looking addition.

Going to go higher as well, adding a LED light bar for brake lights on the bottom of the leather tour pack.  My wife gets a little nervous in traffic with the lack of factory lighting.

I just traded my 2006 SEUC that I had s 3/4 inch wide by about 14 inches long  LED just under where the tourpac lid opened. It looked extremely good and worked with running lights as well as brake light. It was VERY bright but hardly noticeable when not lighted. Sorry I have no pictures to post. Paid about $100, and in my opinion, well worth it for visibility. Very simple install, came with high tac two sided tape, and wires were already in the tourpac.
