Headset Recommendations
« on: December 27, 2009, 08:46:12 AM »

I did not get any headsets with my used CVO Ultra so I'm looking for some suggestions. Normally I wear a half-helmet and the wife wears a full. However, may get her a half too.

Thanks in advance for the replies.

My wife and I use the J&M Elite headsets.  Mush better than Harley!

There are also alternatives to using the Harley style headsets if you just want to chat with each other. I don't use mine because I can't get used to the cord pulling on my helmet or my head being wired to the bike/trike. I also don't ever use the CB.

Last year I purchased a set of BlueAnt intercom headsets. Battery powered, rechargeable and good for about 500'. You can also use them with a bluetooth phone or GPS device if you want. You can pair them with up to 5 other headsets at one time.

I got my set on Ebay for about half price.

You may want to check out IMC Motorcom at www.imcmoto.com/products/harley-headsets.html . I believe they make the Boom headsets for HD.

I got the new harley "boom" headset for half helment. You can wear them without helment also. I only use them for cb, when traveling in a group.

when I purchased my CVO Road King it had a J&M unit on it this thing was hooked up to helmet to helmet head sets, a Garmin Zumo, has a FM radio receiver and XM satelite radio. The previous owner loved it. I never used it...took it off just too much stuff mounted to the bars.
