Great pictures Scott!

IMHO Sheila looks better on her FXR4 than the Vrod!

SBB

I agree!  No need for Vrod fast for Sheila...  The Evo in the FXR4 is just fine...   :2vrolijk_21:

I wonder if late at night, they all come alive and start themselves up and ride around the museum.

I don't know how many bikes are displayed, but they claim to have about 4 times as many vintage or historic bikes in storage in another area of the museum... Some that they rotate from time to time - and some that are in various stages of restoration....

There's a lot of very cool stuff there. I rode up, back in late August. Here's a pic of some of the stuff in storage...

Sadunbar, I see you're from IL... what part?
You must have a decent camera, your pics turned out way better than the ones I took in the darker parts of the museum.

Thanks for sharing!

We live outside Roscoe, IL.  North of Rockford - just south of the Illinois/Wisconsin state line.  I grew up on the northside of Chicago in Wilmette...

My camera is a Nikon D700...  I don't know if I ever will learn all the features...  It is more capable than I am so far...

A Harley with opposed cylinders and shaft drive!
Thanks for the pix! Saw a thing or two that I did not recall seeing back in August on my visit. Had a chance to buy one of these WWII XA war bikes a few years back. By the time I did some quick research and got back to the guy, it was gone.

Great pictures Scott. I remember some of those displays from the 100th, like the clay model of the V Rod.  :2vrolijk_21:

Awesome pics. I hope to get there someday. Might have to include that in my travels for 2010. :2vrolijk_21:
