We live outside Roscoe, IL.  North of Rockford - just south of the Illinois/Wisconsin state line.  I grew up on the northside of Chicago in Wilmette...

My camera is a Nikon D700...  I don't know if I ever will learn all the features...  It is more capable than I am so far...
I live straight down 39 just south of I-80. We should try to get in a ride this spring. My last ride was up to Kagel's for lunch, then back down along the river through Byron, and then to Dixon. Ever ride over to Poopy's in Savanna?

Yep - been there a few of times.  My dad had a cruiser he kept on the Mississippi in Dubuque for a few years - just upriver from Savanna.

Great photos Scott. Some of my favorites from this display are the ’55 KLX, and the overhead cam 883 and 1100.

This OHC machine ran a 1 piece crank with offset cylinders. For those of us monkeying around in 1976 and wondering where the hell Milwaukee came up with the big honkin’ megaphone exhaust for the FX machines; that exhaust was originally developed for this new OHC that never made it to the showrooms.

Although the Sprint was produced from ’61 through ’74, the first year for the new top end displayed on the wall was 1967. 1968 was the same as I remember, then in ’69 the engine’s left side cover was changed when the wet clutch was changed to a dry unit, and the displacement was increased to 350cc.

Here’s something that you don’t see everyday; a 1970 FLH Electraglide with a hand shift.
