On a new engine I like an agressive break-in followed by a change at 500 or 600 and then 2500, 5000, etc.

after break in, every 2000 which usually turns into 2500......... I often wondered just how often most guys CHECK their oil level??????  Come on, be honest.  I do about..... well...... you know.......

I do however have a burn scar on the back of my hand

I change every 5K as the manual recommends...I do Mobil 1 in all three areas and have never had a problem.  (knock on wood).  I reach down and press the button and check my oil level every day I ride.

Change the oil (fluids) every 5k per service manual instructions. Check the oil every 1k (+/-) or before/after an extended trip.

I change oil in all 3 holes and filter every 3 to 4,000 miles, check oil level everytime i ride, on a long hard ride check it every time i stop for gas.

I could never put my bike away for the winter. Even living next to the foothills of the Rockies here in Denver, there are still a few days each month to ride, even in December and January. That is why they put heated seats and hand grips on these bikes. I do not like to ride in cold weather, but have done the children's hospital toy run at 10 below zero.
