What pipe would you order?
« on: January 07, 2010, 11:41:19 PM »

Okay everyone, I've been on here a little over a month and I know that everyone out there is good at spending each others money. So here's a question for everyone.. I have a 2010 SEUC that I got 350 miles on it before the snow came. I picked up a set of Fullsac 2.25 baffles and I think I'll like the sound. I want to eliminate the CAT from my head pipe but I want to keep the stock pipe for warranty purposes down the road if need be. I have a $500 credit at my local dealer but they only order from H-D or from the their usual suppliers (FAT Book, etc.) They do not order from Fullsac.

Should I order a pipe from Fullsac and pay for it out of my pocket or should I look for something different (Vance and Hines, etc.) and use up my credit. I know a couple guys on here ordered the Fullsac head pipe but haven't heard any feed back yet
What else is out there besides the Vance and Hines head pipe? I want to keep my slip-ons with the Fullsac baffles.... They sound good.

I personally would get the new Fullsac. Do not worry about the $500.00 credit  --  you will have no problem finding something to spend that on.

I think the Fullsac pipe is $479 or somewhere around there. I know Fullsac will give a discount to members of this site. It's a little cheeper than the V and H head pipe. Yes the V and H slip on will work on the Fullsac head pipe but I'm staying with my stock muffler bodies. (baffles are changed out to Fullsac cores)

I would have went with the Fullsac for the price savings. He did not have the pipe at that time. I did not want to have my bike down to send my stock pipe for cat removal because it was summer and I am an everyday rider. I put 8500 miles on it the first 3 months and never left the state.
I bet the difference in performance is negligable..IMO

I now have Fullsac stage 2 and love it. I think these guys know what they are doing!

I am all about supporting small US businesses these days also!

Nothing wrong with Fulsac, they do know their stuff...and appear to make a quality product. :)  I'm just a dyed-in-the-wool Vance and Hines man myself.  :)  :2vrolijk_21:

Pick the look you want I dont thing you'd notice a difference in performance :2vrolijk_21:

Nothing is easier than using up a $500.00 credit in a Harley shop? Perhaps a SEST :nixweiss:

I for one have purchased & installed the new Fullsac Headpipe for the CVO 110" motor along with their 2" muffler cores in my stock mufflers & TTS MasterTune with MAP supplied to me by Steve at Fullsac Performance. Bike looks totally stock, but sounds clear & crisp & very responsive. A great total performance upgrade at a reasonable price!

Sometimes that's all that needs to be said...... :2vrolijk_21:

Sounds like a total package that works, and I think "BikerBum" is 1/2 way there.

Yes I'm 1/2 way there... just need to finish the total package. Not a lot of resources up here in the middle of nowhere...

I thought you could take your pipes off and send them to Fullsac........ :nixweiss:

All you need is the "cats" out correct?

Yes DickW your correct about gutting the cat. convertor out of your stock headpipe, that works as well. However some of us would rather keep our stock headpipe intact just in case of a warranty issue down the road, so it can be re-installed if need be? Besides the fact that Fullsacs New True Stepped Design Headpipe designed specifically for our big inch CVO motors produces a few extra HP over the stock gutted headpipe too!
