awesome picture, that reminded me of giving my daughter her first ride some 33 years ago..

Terrie kept trying to get him to come all the way inside and close the door (he was looking out the steel security screen door).  He refused for the longest.  I had to explain it to her......."Terrie, you'd have to be a boy to understand.....if I were out here for six hours washing these bikes, he'd be standing there for six hours.". 

He had his helmet and little gloves on half an hour ahead of time. ;D

I remember my first ride and now I've had the pleasure of giving another little boy his first ride and being able to photograph it (we're going to print some of the photos and frame them for his room) for him.  He talked all the way around the block......and for an hour after. :)

He thought the pleasure was his............but it was mine! :2vrolijk_21:

Absolutly heart warming!  That is just great! I bet he talks about for the next few months.

He will talk about that for more than months. Being on grandpa's bike at that age will be something he will remember for as long as he lives. JUST MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE KEYS HIDDEN.

Here's a link to my gallery.  Second row, first pic is of me and my daughter on my pan/shovel back in the early 70s (don't remeber the exact year).  Harmon frame and Harmon front end.  For those who were riding HDs back in the early 70s, everybody knew who John Harmon was......he was the cutting edge of custom.  Some of my other photos of days gone by, too.......
