Price was $39689 when I ordered in Sept. By the time it came in price was $36829 + freight/PDI ($800). I was happy to save the $3K (a little more with taxes). Also the dealer put my trade on consignment, retailed it for me off his floor and gave me all but $1000 as a trade value. Also he installed all my accessories for free and gave me 20% off on parts I ordered thru him that i'll install myself...

Frankly he could of had is way with me and gouged the price like some dealers... and I'd probably have happily stroked the check. At the end of the day,  if all of a sudden we're all trying to save a buck... why look at a Harley? I don't think it's the price that attracts us to the MoCo.

I'm tickled to be one of the lucky 2 to get the FLHXSE's that my dealer got allocated... and the way the economy is going... I want him to be profitable! I say pay the money and get happy that you can!! :P

Hi Marty... As a matter of fact, the other one was sold to a friend of Chuck W's... not sure if you know him or not. It's Concord Blue and I think its a March Build so he should be getting it soon. Funny I found that out yesterday. Chuck emailed me out of the blue.

As for Julie's Trike conversion, i'm not sure there'd be much interest, it's not a CVO... but it's pretty cool especially for my 4' 11" angel :angel: Stop by sometime bud!

Hey Baggy,

My freight is $575.00 which is better than $1000.00, but I do notice there's this other little interesting charge called "Documentation Fee" of $399.00.. I'll be asking for a breakdown of this little fee when I go to sign the final papers next week. Documentation Fee for what ? Switching my plates over from my trade-in to the SESG, and printing me out a receipt ? haha.. Seems a little excessive to me... Just another cash grab. Will see what I can do about it if anything.

If you don't have a Documentation Fee I suppose we're both paying about the same, just from a different angle...

Hey Geezerglide;

Funny, that's what a female friend of mine called the SESG when I told her I was trading my 1997 Fatboy for the Streetglide...

Yes, I know of a couple people who got burned on the inflated price of the anniversary models in 2003 as well. Hoping to avoid that situation this time around, but unavoidable if Deeley's decide to hold off till the 2011's are out to adjust price lower due to the parity. That is if HD decide to make the SESG again for 2011 as well...

Hey fatss,

Freight and PDI was $1000.00 and $145.00 administration fees which they said was to do up the paper work. Also bought $4000.00 of accessories and they gave me a gift cert for $400.00 or 10% to be used towards more accessories. They also through in 2 years of extended warranty(which was nice) and I bought another 3 years. Gives me a total of 7 years. The accessories I was going to install myself, but they told me they had to be installed by the dealer, so I would have the 7 year warranty on them. $ 75.00 an hour labour. I've waited and hoping that harley would build a cvo street glide, so as soon as I heard they were building one, I gave them the down payment and ordered on July27/09. Like hdnik said you just write them the cheque anyway, if you want one bad enough. From what I understand Deeley set the price on the bike and the dealer charges what ever for the freight, PDI, accessories and any other fees. I guess we could use a relative's address in the U.S. and buy south of the border and save $6000.00. But this wouldn't be helping our dealers stay in business. It's nice to have them near when you need warranty work.
