Much like a lot of the posts I have read, I literally happened across this forum when doing a search for info on CVO's. So far enjoying a ton of useful info here and there. Has been a while since registering and now, but given Christmas, this n that. Here I am.
I bought my bike in late November of 09 following an 19 year hiatus after having sold my '77 FLHT to pay for a buddy's funeral. Yes it happened while we were riding. He had no way to pay for a funeral, so I guess this was the only option at the time.
Needless to say, after a few more miles on the body and mind, here I am with an 09 CVO Fat Bob. Few little humps to get over though. I took my first spin on it through my neighborhood and when I returned, my 13 yr old daughter, never to disappoint, said "Dad you didn't look like you knew what you were doing." Didn't take long to explain to her that it had been 19 years since I have been on a bike, this wasn't jockey shift, they make'm heavier than I remember, and there's some trust issues to overcome.
Haven't heard anything from her since regarding the subject. But I rode the hell out of it before I had to store it for Winter. Come April it'll be ridin time again . . . . if not sooner.
