Winter project back on... Decision time!
« on: January 22, 2010, 10:46:35 PM »

Now that I've seen the 10-1/2 Ultra CVO I've decided to keep mine.

Up here in the Great White North we have plenty of time for winter projects, but before I begin I would appreciate all your valued opinions on how far I should take my painting project.

Today I paid a visit my buddies Bob & Doug MacKenzie for their thoughts, eh! Besides not knowing a thing about customizing motorcycles, they had to run out for more beer!

I played with photo shop to see what the bike may end looking like and I'm attaching is 3 pics for your perusal and opinions:

#1 - Bike as it is today
#2 - Bike with lower fairings painted black
#3 - Bike with lower fairings painted black and a little black & gold leaf on the tour pac

Please give me your opinion on which will look best by voting in the pole.

Many thanks for your expert opinions.

Hope you enjoy Bob & Doug's video, eh!  They're now back out in the fish hut.

I would leave the lowers brown, and tour pack with the matching stripes on it.

I second or third that! I like the lowers as they are but if you could add some color to the tour pak it would look awesome.

Matching strips on tour pac is a nice touch.

Matching up the tour pac would look great  :2vrolijk_21:  as for the lowers IMHO I think that matching the black below the highway pegs would look nice  :nixweiss:

I like the ideas but I would make the lowers match the rest of the bike. Add gold leaf and black!!   :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

I would add the black to the tour pack and put a little black on the lowers with the stripe.  I would not paint the lowers solid black.  Then again it's not my bike, to each his own.

I've come up with another idea and would appreciate your vote once again.

Thanks!
