While at the Easyriders Bike Show last weekend, we were handed a flyer for a motorcycle display at the California Auto Museum here in Sacramento.  The bike display will be there till the end of March.

We took some pics with Terrie's Droid phone.

Everybody will recognize the first one as the bike that holds the world's motorcycle land speed record at 367.382 MPH. 

All I can say, after poking my head inside the cockpit, is that Chris Carr must be a very small guy.

And the motor in the Bub bike.  Interesting, several rubber belts and a radiator.

And a row of Trials bikes.

Next to drag racing, trials is about the most exciting and interesting motorcycle races that I've ever saw first hand.

Oldies of every make are present.

This exhibit would take many of you for a walk down memory lane.........it sure did for me.

If you're from Nor Cal and have the opportunity to visit the California Auto Museum on Front St. in Sacramento before the end of March, the bike display alone would make it worth it.  The cars would all be a plus.....they have a pretty incredable auto collection also.

This is one Harley that I didn't recognize the motor.  That's a Crocker up in back.

And those who have ever attended the Sacramento Mile will recognize this bike and sidecar.  It was used on more than one occassion to get riders and/or bikes off the track after an accident.  It's part of the collection owned by Harley Davidson of Sacramento (which has it's own collection of museum worth bikes on display).

Of course no motorcycle collection would be complete without the Triumph twins.
