Tool kit location
« on: January 25, 2010, 09:28:32 AM »

Haven't had my 06 se  ultra long and cannot find the tool kit. Just wondering if I am overlooking where thay are located or did the previous owner just take it out. Where did thay put them from the factory.

It should have been in the saddlebag it's a black canvas/cloth roll w/tools in it. Sounds like previous owner has kept yours. :nixweiss:

Most '06 and beyond would have had the canvas rolled tool bag in the Tourpak.

It should be in the saddlebag or tourpac. He probably kept the tools and the fancy key that comes with the CVO. Did you get the CVO cover that comes with the bike?

No I didn't get anything. On the garage door opener do all the cvo ultra come with everything already installed on the bike. What would I need to buy to get mine to work.

On the garage door opener you need to set it up for your door. I went through that with the one I got with the bike and I found it easier to use one of the garage door openers that I have for the house and put it in my windshield bags.

The sender is under the fairing and the receiver plugs into 110 on the wall

I heard that Harley's have become so reliable that they no longer require a tool kit.

Oh crap, I thought it was April 1st already.  Never mind.

What would I need to buy to get mine to work.

I really like mine; it's very convenient--you just cycle the hi/lo beam switch.

You would need to buy the receiver part; it's available from MoCo:

Remote Control Garage Door Opener Receiver

This additional receiver permits the owner of the Remote Garage Door Opener Kit P/N 91558-01 to operate more than one garage door opener from a single transmitter.

 91562-01

For use with Remote Control Garage Door Opener Kit P/N 91558-01A.

MSRP US $69.95

I sure like my garage door opener.  Mine works great.

As far as the tool kit goes, if you didn't find it in the first minute you looked for it, it's not there.

You should have gotten a tool kit, garage door opener that plugs into an electrical socket and wires to your garage opener button on the wall, a CVO bike cover, a CVO key, and saddlebag and tourpack luggage bags, as well as owner's manuals and navigation CD's.  I think that's about all of it.
