Mustang Seat with stock SEEG backrest
« on: January 15, 2006, 05:00:18 PM »

Well for the hell of it, I figured I'd pull off my chopped tour pac to set it up with a quick disconnect wiring plug (mines been hardwired) for the spoiler LED brakelight and the 12v triple power supply. I want to be able to use the quick disconnect function of the equipment, since I've not been able to.

Check with you Harley dealer & see if they don't have a plug that will work.

Alazlo,
The plug that came with the LED spoiler light itself would be great, if I can get the male and female as unit be be spliced in but I've not come across it in the book.
That plug has a nice weather seal on it. I'll check Tuesday with them. Maybe they'll surprise me.

Alazlo,
Cool bro I'll give them a shout and have them get what's needed.  You have no problems with yours in rain or washing I presume?
I've ordered the digital hidden antenna from Eglidegoodies to get rid of the tour pac whip, to clean up that mess, and one of their tour pac wall mounts.
Thanks for the suggestion

Radio Shacks also have a crimping tool for those kinds of crimps.   Just noticed one there last week.  I think it was thirteen bucks.

MYCVO,

If your stock backrest will work why do you have a mustang backrest in there :) ?

The problem I have / had with the Mustang backrest is that the screw that allows you the angle chewed into my mustang seat over time even with the exta layer of pleather there.  I did not have a matching flat black backrest at the time on my ultra or I would have gladly of used it, but since I did not I used the mustang one.

Just curious why you wouldnt/ your not using the stock one if you have it?

Hey Mark,

Just wondering what your ideas are to cover up the mounting holes for the antenna block on the tour pac. Damn, I just wish the MoCo would have left it up to us to drill the holes if we wanted the antenna mount there!

Good luck, [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Lets Roll,
Nice, That's the thread I was looking for. I was hoping for the connector by itself to just make the splice without having the wires to butt to but, thats all good! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
I thought it was Don's Cherry that I saw that. Way to go Don
