I have one in my fairing, and I get plenty of radio stations.......I also get the Weather Band well.   :2vrolijk_21:

Go to XM/Sirius and get rid of free air radio, nothing but comercials.

Looks like you still have the stock antenna on your bike.  Since you're having reception problems you may want to reconnect the stock antenna and see if that fixes the problem.  A lot of people who install the under fairing antennas have the same issue that you do.  Some don't.

Hooked the whip back up and it was better while sitting in the shop but the previous owner shortened the coax when they installed the shorty tena down near the shock so the TP could be removed need to get another coax or an extension the shorty is the one that was connected will prob just hook up the tune trapper stick it all back together try that thanks for all the tips and help everyone knows for sure I need all the help I can get

If the previous owner shortened the coax, he may have screwed up the ground.

A dealer I stopped at swore by them but of course he sold them.  I have never heard of one.  Just heard a lot of bad about tunetrappers, etc..

if you install the antenna up higher and away from the other electrics & wiring in the fairing it will work better. Here is where i install this antenna:
