Thanks everyone for the positive comments.  They are appreciated!  The fender is actually a fender cover.  I searched for quite some time trying to find a one-piece fender replacement, but for the models with the smaller rear tire, you just can't find them.  They make them for the 180, but not the 160's.  I didn't want separate filler strips, so I decided on the Milwaukee Bagger fender cover.  We traced and cut out the footprint for the rider's backrest bracket so that it doesn't sit on the actual fender cover and still sits in its' original position.  There are foam strips on the inside of the cover to sort of protect the stock fender, but in any case, I can't see ever going back to the original look...

That is what I found... nothing other then those that will sit on top of the OEM fender. Sounds like you have taken care of my concern and like you if I were to do something like what you have I doubt the OEM look would ever fancy my eye anymore.

One other question with this set up are you still able to use all the OEM docking points for passenger backrest/TP's?

I could have kept the original docking points had I wanted to, but I would have had to put cut-outs into the fender cover and to me that would have ruined the look I was after.  Milwaukee Bagger offers a tour-pak bracket that uses the same 2 docking points that the passenger backrest uses.  So, we removed the 2 rear docking points, spaced the 2 front ones a little and that's all there is to it.  You're never going to use the backrest and the tour-pak at the same time, so you only need the 2 points.  Now I've got the clean look that I was after.

That looks fantastic.  That is the best looking fender bag mod I have seen.

Nice!  Congrads!

Ok, that is true... you'll never use them at the same time but this way you still get to use either/or when needed. :2vrolijk_21: Does this modification move the TP back/forward any?

There are several holes in the tour-pak bracket so that you can adjust the tour-pak the way you want it.  I'll probable keep it the same distance since I usually don't let anyone ride on the back...unless she's as hot as the bike is that is...

Thanks.  Now she's REALLY one of a kind.  It's been a long 2 months, but definitely worth it.  I should have her home on Monday and I'll be able to take some better pix as soon as the weather gets a little nicer too...
