Protecting the top of saddle bags
« on: January 26, 2010, 02:44:54 PM »

Have things pretty well figured out as to modifications I'd like to do on the 2010 Amber/Citrus and am now trying to figure out how to protect those vulnerable saddle bag tops. I saw a previous post about the clear film. How does it last? Any long-term detrimental effects? I also came upon these Harley chrome guard bars, pictured below. Has anyone installed them? Do they require drilling the lid for attachment? Thanks as usual, Ed

Much better than the chrome parts, in my mind.

Ride safely,

I had these in the past. They worked ok. Didn't care for the "V" on an Ultra. Yep, your drilling to install them.

I had Motorcycle Armor put on my bike at Bike Blues & BBQ.  Worth every cent.  Unless you know it is there you do not see it.  A toothbrush around the edges takes off any captured dirt.  My wife's boots no longer mark up my lids. (She is 5'1")

Great product.
