SE 258 Cams in SE110
« on: January 26, 2010, 03:00:28 PM »

I take my SE110 in this next week for the recall upgrades with the head gaskets, I have talked to them about doing cams at this point.  They want to put in SE258 cams in, they are saying they have put these in and like these cams with the stock heads.  Does anyone have any input?  I am not finding anything on these cams as input from the field.  It looks like these cams should use the high compression pistons.  Any input would be great.
thanx
Shawn

The 258 will need more compression and will come on later in the RPM range than most people would like in a bagger. You would be better off with the 257 if your staying with the SE cams.

u'll need the 10.5 pistons and either the 251, 257 (no longer made for the new bikes) or the 259 (replaces them)... the 258 is way too big for a bagger
