  Since I think the battery life of the Scala Rider is only about 4-5 hrs and our rides on trips are much longer than that, does anyone know of a power cord or a way to make one, or a way to recharge the battery while you're riding?  It'd be nice if the unit didn't run down before the end of the day but I've never used one so I don't know how well they last.  Just going on what I've heard.  I was just thinking it would nice if you could plug it in while riding so the battery would last longer or some way to plug it in off the bike's battery so it would charge while you were eating lunch, for example.
   Any ideas?

  I've not ordered this charger yet as it's picture shows a rectangular plug on it and my Scala Rider Q2 has a round port for the charger.  Does anyone have one of these chargers that plugs into the cig. lighter and then into the headset?  If so, where did you get it and did it come with the correct cord?  Also, anyone know the voltage the car charger puts out, is it just a straight 12V from the battery or is there a way it changes or drops down the voltage.  I was thinking maybe I could make one out of leftover cell phone chargers or something if I knew the correct voltage.  Any suggetions??

I have a cigarette lighter adaptor charging plug with a four foot cord that plugs into my scala headset while it's on the helmet and into the cigarette lighter on the scoot.  Bought it for having gps and cell phone available while on Iron Butt rides for 24 plus hours on the scoot.  Works incredible.  Bought it at, get this........"RADIO SHACK".........for about $4

Just bring in your headset and the power cord for wall charging so they can match the output levels and make sure you get the correct charger.  Then find a Radio Shack with a clerk that actually knows what they are doing.

Figures.  I just bought two at Competition Accessories in Springfield, OH about two weeks ago as they had them in stock.  Of course theirs were about $15 each!  My luck.
