Supertrapp....Internal Disc Series Slip-ons
« on: January 27, 2010, 07:09:39 PM »

Does any one have any experience with the Supertrapp Internal Disc Series Slip-ons?

I intrigued with their Disc philosophy.  What I am thinking is to keep adding disc until I get the sound that I like :orange: than go have the bike dyno tuned.

I would be interested in hearing what you guy think :nixweiss:

Adding, subtracting discs for sound is not what you should be looking for. Find a good turner he will add subtract discs for HP and Torque. Tehy will sound good anyways. I had the Supertrapp Supermeg 2:1, now on my 2010 ULTRA Limited I have the Supertrapp Fatshots, I forgot how may discs in one side or the other. Also have the Catless header Pipe (Fullsac). I am happy wth the sound and the perfromance.

If you want them louder , you will want to start with the open end cap and tune from there. You will need to purchase it as it is an option.   Doc

I have had them on 3 bikes and would have nothing else.  I changed discs in SE's about 3 times before getting the sound I liked on my SEEG - they were mellow and deep.  I just put Fatshots on a 2010 SE Ultra - the sound is not as good but I will get a few more miles on before changing.  On SEEG, I listened to Monster Ovals on a stock bike and put them on.  They were much louder than I liked on 103 - should have thought about that but the mistake costs a lot.  Being able to "tune" the sound is a big advantage.

A better choice is the Kerker (same company, same website) slip-ons with the "Mikuni" baffles. Sadly, only available in 3-1/2" diameter, so not a good choice for my SESG...
Great choice for those without extended bags. Combined with fullsacs cat removal, this would be the ideal setup for most of us. These pipes were designed by Joe Minton.

Thanks alot....I never consider those.  Listened to them on youtube and sounded great. :-*

The big questions is what tip to get...... :confused5:

Turn Downs?
Slants?
Billets?
Fish Tails?
Tappered?
Holy Molys?

Installed the Kerker Mikuni's and you were spot on :bananarock: :bananarock:.....totally different type of sound than the MO... cruising at 65 I think they are not as loud as the MO.  Sweet potato sound during excelleration :-* :-*  Just what I wanted

Thanks for your suggestion

Glad they worked out for you. You're doing a dyno tune with these, right? Post your sheet when it's done. No other slip-on will make better power.
