Rear Tire
« on: January 30, 2010, 08:51:30 PM »

Has anyone installed a 200/55x18 tire on the rear of a SERG?  The rim size is 18x5 and the tire should go on a 6" but just wondering??

Did he give you a reason why?  The dealer here put a set of 18' Hogpro rims and Metzlers on a 2010 roadglide and the rear was a 200 mm, looked good and was wondering how it would work on mine if I didn't change the rim.

is the stock wheel a 5" or 5.5"? the 180/55 should be on a 5.5", while the 200 should be on a 6"... it can be squeezed onto a 5.5", but its not recommended... also, the correct height tire would be a 200/50x18, not a 205/55x18...

one thing on a bike I wouldn't do is change tire size on a rim. Go with what is spec'd.  Why take chances on two wheels?
