Kuryakyn Adjustable Passenger Pegs
« on: January 17, 2006, 12:50:12 PM »

Has anyone had any experiance with the Kuryakyn adjustable passenger pegs?, & do you really need the extended left side passenger board mount if you are running Rinehart Duals?.
You also have to purchase the chrome passenger board mounts in order to make the adjustable pegs clamp-on. Just wanted to know if they are worth the money.

The SEEG and the SEUC all have the chromed passenger mounts to begin with.  So that's at least one part of the expense you can avoid.

Not sure about the fitment to the SEUC.  But I had them on my 02 Ultra Classic and my wife swore by them for the long hauls back and forth across this country and up into Canada and down to Mexico.  It provides the passenger with different positions for their feet, while riding.

Yes, for Rinehard Tru-duals you do need to extend the floorboard mount, but just the left side floorboard mount needs to be extended.
The part you need is Part # 4537
See it on the link below:

http://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp?bn=harley&ci=2409

I ordered on, so I'm not sure if it's crome or not!
Good luck.

JR,
Do you have any pictures of this install? I was curious about them and went to Kurykan (Part # 7926) site and it said on fitment this - Adjustable Passenger Pegs (pr) Fits '93-'06 Dressers and Road Kings equipped with stock passenger boards (ex. '04-'06 FLHTCSE and FLHTCUSE). Was wondering if this is the part you are using/talking about, as I didn't see any others that were applicable to touring models.

Not true Don. Yes, they both have chrome mounts but the thickness on SEEG is too thin to accept the Kuryakyn adjustable passenger pegs. I had to buy the standard chrome mounts from Chicago HD and sold my stock SEEG ones on ebay.

Sorry JR. Didn't know of the difference.  When he'd asked about chrome that's all I was thinking about.  Since it makes a difference glad you caught it.  Thankya Sir  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  [smiley=banana.gif]

When I see it I will post it for ya. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] I will shoot some pics and post them too!

First picture is all the way forward, then next position back, and next, and all the way back. Then I thru in the latch mechanism and a view of 4 screws that mount pegs from underneath.

JR,
Thanks for the pictures that looks awesome. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] Few questions though...

1. The link you posted is for footboard bracket. Is that what is needed to extend stock floorboards out so you can use the Kurykan part (since on the Kurykan website they say they will not work with FLHTCSE/2 & FLHTCUSE)?

2. I appears you are still using your stock floorboards is that correct?

3. I'm rather long legged and normally keep passenger floorboards up when no passenger on board. Can you still have floorboard up when this Kurukan part is in one of the back positions so they both will be out the way?

Thanks again.
