TTS Mastertune Vs Racetuner
« on: February 04, 2010, 09:56:57 AM »

Can someone tell me the difference between the TTS Mastertuner and Harley's racetuner? Guys at my dealer have never heard of the TTS version and the web site is vague. I'm looking to set programming to optimum and not necessarily any great leaps and bounds in hp and torque.

Advice:
Get a new tuner, or, if you trust them, let them tune what they are familiar with.
OR:
With TTS you can do it yourself if you are patient and have some computer skills, really, not that difficult.
If an old codger like me can do it, anyone can!

Thanks, I may just let them do what they are familiar with. I guess I may need somebody to blame.

I used the TTS master tune. I purchased it and a map for my 09 SERG from Fullsac performance. loading the map is very simple. I got the stage one map for just getting rid of cat and changing baffles in mufflers. It ran good but I always want more. I got the stage 2 map and had andrews 54 cam and .030 cometic head gaskets put in by dealer but I loaded the stage 2 map before I rode it to the shop. I am very satisified with the TTS master.

Understand that any HD dealer can use TTS Mastertune. Any dealer that has been installing or working with HD bikes for the past several years has already been using Mastertune, only under a different name. The previous name was SERT, or Screamin Eagle Race Tuner. Our product was sold/installed through HD dealers from 2002 - 2008. They may not know the name but they already know the product.

I recently purchased a 2010 FLHX and did quite a bit of research on all the available tuning software/devices.  I finally settled on the TTS MasterTune that I purchased from Fullsac Performance.  I believe this to be the most sophisticated tuner available and is user friendly. It will allow you to tune the bike by yourself.  Due to the weather (New England) I have not been able to do any VTune runs but I believe this is going to be a lot of fun.  You can download the user's guide from the TTS website and read through it.  It is very informative and you will find a wealth of TTS info available from people on this board.

Can a map from a Super Tuner be loaded in a TTS ? Or vice-versa ?

Not hardly...the TTS uses a MT7 file and who knows what the MoCo uses but I can tell you the differences are HUGE

I thought the new SESRT is suppose to have more options....do they still have some bugs in them. Which one would you go with and why?

Hands down the TTS product it is the same company that made the original SERT for Harley only now they have added more features.  They have 8 + years of experience with HD and it WORKS.  SuperSERT still has features err bugs like cables that shut down the computer while tuning.

I SERT on my 09 and will be replacing it with the TTS from Fullsac in the future.  My SERT as well as others I know seem to have a related problem with turning off the ACR's.  If you use an SERT I strongly suggest the last step before exit, always, always, make sure your ACR's are enabled.  I wish I would have saved myself the money and just bought the TTS first.
