NO POWER AFTER RADIO REINSTALL - HELP - HELP - HELP - PLEASE
« on: February 04, 2010, 07:29:59 PM »

After reinstalling my HK Advanced Audio System and Hawg-Wired "Four in the Face" on my 2006 FLHTCUSE, when I turn my ignition switch to the ignition position , I only get power to the speedo and tach lights and the radio same as accessory position. No power to headlights, taillight, or signal lights, the small gauge dash lights, or the starter, any ideas?    Fuse or plug connection?

Just had my fairing off putting bulbs back and removing new diodes.

Before I put fairing back on I thought I better check bulbs................just like you, no dash lights..............

went to front and found when I had to get to the oil temp gauge, I had to unplug the connector , and

I forgot to plug it back in............looks like you are going to pull fairing again.....the connector is on the right side if you are standing over

the front tire.............good luck.

Tom;
If the maxi fuse is good then the most likely is the plug to the ignition switch got pulled out. It is down under the radio and is 3 heavy guage wires in a black sleeve.

hd-dude,

Pulled it all apart and it was the ignition plug partially pulled. Tightened it up, buttoned everything up and all is well. Thanks for the diagnosis Jim.
