Fullsac Baffles IMHO sound about as good as anything else, if you pull your Rinehart baffle and lay it beside a Fullsac baffle the similarity is obvious,  install one of your CVO mufflers on the bike for comparison and if you prefer the look  go for it.

I have the Fullsac baffles with cats removed. Have been pleased with sound and performance. Had Rineharts on my 2006, and had them replaced under warranty twice. It was not much fun riding to Sturgis last year with a broken Rinehart. Got the last warranty pipe off the Bub truck when we got into Sturgis. Their quality has gone down the (tubes). If you stay with the MOCO pipes, you have no trouble in some of the states (like Colorado) that now require an E.P.A. stamp on your pipes. In Denver there is a fine of $500.00 for non E.P.A stamped pipes (they also have a noise ordinance, but if you do not cause a problem they leave you alone). Many other states are following that. At least with the Fullsac option, the pipes look stock.

That's why Reinhart products are not made by Bub anymore. They manufacture their own stuff now here in the USA and have a complete line for the CVO's.

I agree with your assessment that if you don't draw attention to yourself by rolling on the throttle in heavy traffic areas and around the Police stock or not you won't get into any trouble.

On my 09 Ultra SE I have the HD Tuner, VH Power Duals, and 2" Fullsac cores in the stock mufflers. The bike is somewhat loud compared to my Streetglide with an HD tuner, stock head pipe, Reinhart slip ons. The Reinharts tone down at highway speeds and the Fullsac 2" cores just keep on screaming a loud deep rumble. Steve at Fullsac said I could have put 1.75" cores in the stock pipes that would not have been as loud. I very happy with the set up.

Steve at Fullsac is full of information and provides fast quality service.

I would have to agree. My 103" has 1.75 cores and the bigger motor has 2" cores.
There is a definite difference between the two.

Have a non cat headpipe, SESRT, and Fullsac 2" baffles on my 09 SERG. Absolutely love them. They are not too loud when you're tooling around, at low to mid throttle.  When you do hammer it, they roar nicely. Loud enough to get you wet. ::) ::) ::) Not so loud that it's obnoxious. My riding buddy put Reinharts on his SEUC. He's taking them off, selling them, and doing the Fullsac thing. The Reinharts are a bit louder when riding normally. Maybe not louder, but a bit more harsh. The Fullsacs rumble nicely, the Reinharts kinda have more like a bark. When you get on the Reinharts they sound tinny and harsh to me, while the Fullsacs just have a deep growl. sorry about all the different descriptive wording. It's difficult to tell someone how something sounds. Hope this helps. Enjoy yer new scoot.

I've got an '09 SERG and have been trying to resolve the same dilemma.  I'm not happy with the stock system but not sure about getting some slip ons or getting the cats removed and going with the Fullsac baffles.  I want a little deeper tone but don't want it real loud for riding all day.  I  was interested it Ken's description of the Fullsac sound.  Would you go with the 1.75, 2, or 2.5 baffles?  Do you need to get the bike remapped afterward?

Glad to hear your positive feedback! A few days ago I ordered the Fullsac X-Pipe, the 2" baffles, and the TTS Tuner... looking forward to hearing how it brings the bike to life!

I think you will be very pleased. I hope you got the "map" that matches your changes. This is definitely the easy way to go!
Did you get the "B" X-pipe?? Let us know how it all turns out!

There IS a little bit of difference in sound between the baffles, question is:
What is "loud" to you????
You could always swap baffles once you get the conversion done, only takes one bolt to go from 1 3/4 to 2"
You should get the bike remapped for sure, either by dyno or canned map from Steve G. @ Fullsac, IMO!!!

Hope so... seems like this is the way to go, based on the overwhelming number of recommendations in this board. Yes, I got the map for my new set-up. I got the new pipe he just put together... I'll be sure and let y'all know what I think!!

Wow,

Sorry for the long delay in responding. Haven't been on here much lately. I have the 2" in mine. Downloaded the suggested map from my Screamin Eagle Super Race Tuner. It ran ton's better, and much cooler with the non cat headpipe. Had it dynoed. Runs even better. Couldn't be happier with the total package.

Cheers, Ken
