heavy breather?
« on: February 07, 2010, 09:03:52 AM »

I am thinking about a heavy breather for my bike.  I like the MOCO one (HD part #28716-10).  I was wondering is this just a straight bolt on or do i need to do something after I install it? The only mod I have done thus far is put in a set of the fullsac mufflers.  I still have my cat and did not program anything.  Just looking for some advice.  I am not worried about HP or speed just don't want to void anything or end up losing performance.

Great thanks!  Did you get the 10 part or the 08?  I do not have lower fairings yet, but might.  Just wondering what the difference might be.  Thansk again!

Just be aware of the breather bolt issue.   If you do a search on breather bolts you'll understand but the stock directions didnt take in to consideration the breather that is stock on the CVO bike.   They write them for the non CVO breather.   At least they did last year.  Not sure if the 2010 directions are the same.   Anyway,  a search will enlighten you.

HEre are a couple.  You need the bolts from a non CVO breather.  I forget the details as to why but it should be in these post somewhere along with p/n's.

i beleive that others have commented that this heavy breather does not fit with lowers.  I mention since you indictaed that you may add lowers later on.  Look at Arlen Ness, RSD or many other options too.  Good luck.

I wanted to install that intake setup on my 2001 SERG but it will not fit models pre-2008. It says it will fit touring models 2008 and later with lowers.
