If you want a good leisurely ride to the keys, ride I95 south to I4 west, to Sanford, pickup toll road 417 around the east side of Orlando, get off at exit 22 onto hwy 15 south to 441 south. follow 441 around Lake Okeechobee to Belle Glade then pickup 27 south through Weston. Look for state route 997 south. It runs parallel to the toll road into Homestead. Then pickup hwy 1.  If you have time going back, you have to run hwy 41 over to Naples. Gators everywhere.  Look for airboat rides along the way. Not the tourist boats, but the two seater's run by the native Indians. Might cost you 25 bucks but its a lot better ride.

If you've never been there before, you got to spend a night in South Beach.  And take a ride around the loop on Star Island. :2vrolijk_21:  http://www.miami-info.com/photos-miami-star-island.php      Homes of Gloria Estefan, Enrique Iglesias, Anna Kournikova, Lenny Kravitz, Jannet Reno, Shakira, OJ Simpson.        http://www.sunnyislesmiamirealestate.com/South-Beach/Star-Island/

If you can side track to the west coast, go to Stans Place below Marco, in Goodlad Florida, known as a sleepy little fishing village with a drinking problem.  Great bands great bear and good food.  Coming from the Keys you can take alligator parkway toward Naples and take a left before Marco to Goodland.

FYI, next week Homestead is having a big deal with all there vendors for trees and flowers, may want to avoid it.
