Top caddy
« on: February 15, 2010, 04:29:30 PM »

Anyone got any tips for removing the top caddy to access the battery on a 2009 SERG?  I can get it to move up and around some, but can't seem to get it over that little metal "L" at the front of the caddy.  All I need is room to remove the negative terminal screw so I can attach my harness for my new heated gear.  Since global warming has hit, I decided I needed heated gear.  All tips appreciated...

If I recall, Lift the rear side up and move it toward the front it will slide off the the front center piece. It is just a slip on holder. When reinstalling do it in the reverse.

Thanks for the tips - never could get it off all the way so I just worked around it and used a hand wrench instead of my socket set.  Regardless, got my harnesses installed for heated gear.  It's a whole new world with a toasty jacket!
