It's called a Windshield Splitter p/n # 57164-10 $159.95 Put the part number in the HD search engine and it'll pop right up.

I may get one 'cause it looks good and it's nice to be the first in the neighborhhood with an new trinket.    ;D

I took so long to find it that Bayou beat me to it. :2vrolijk_21:

Looks similar to Klockwerks style and pricey, too. :o

If at all possible, try to ride a bike with one on, we have a couple members here that do not like them.
Riders are either too tall, or, in one case a lady rider that complained of "buffeting" !
We do try a bit of bike swapping to find out if we like windshields, pipes, seats, etc.

FWIW.

I talked to Brian Klock at the Drag Specialties show in Reno last month.  I mentioned the complaints about buffeting.  He said that his shield was designed on the salt flats, for speed in a straight line......that if you're touring and looking all around, that might not be the best appliaction for his shields.

I would imagine the MoCo split windshield is going to be similar.  But hey.......the newer riders prefer looks over function. :nixweiss:

SORRY YOU ARE INCORRECT!

YES there is one for the Road Glide AND also one for the Street Glide/other tourers.

The part number I listed in my post is correct. However it won't pull up the product now in the regular on HD online catalog for some reason. I'll keep trying and post the link as you did for the Road Glide.

The two products are the same price. $159.95 Retail

The curves in the Harley one that I saw on a standard Street Glide in the show room are not as pronounced but seem to do the job as well as look better.

The link in the next post to the online spring catalog is correct. Thanks "Krazze".  You'll find the product I am referring to on page 28 just above the Road glide one.

NEW Product

A. WIND SPLITTER WINDSHEILD – ELECTRA GLIDE

A. WIND SPLITTER WINDSHIELD

In the world of functional performance, size does matter.

After all, it’s simple to understand that the larger the windshield

area, the greater the amount of wind deflection. The

Wind Splitter windshield is a great look for all touring models

and is shaped for the perfect combination of effective air flow

management and “wow” styling. The sweeping design complements

the shape of the fairing and the inner dash panel, and

adds height over a traditional low-profile wind deflector in

the center where it counts. The rich smoked finish does not

interfere with your forward view, and looks great against any

paint color. The easy-to-install Wind Splitter features a centermount

Bar & Shield medallion for a distinctive finishing touch.

57164-10 7" Smoked. $159.95

Fits ’96-later Electra Glide®, Street Glide® and Trike models.

Does not fit with zu¯mo® 550 GPS Navigator, Windshield

I have been through two screens one was a 6" curve (had playing cards for a logo, I know its a popular brand ) anyway, looked good but my eyes where right in the middle of the thing when relaxed in the seat at 5"10" I thought I could pull it off. The wind was worse than the chopped screen that came with the bike! I bought a stock clear full HD screen (high & ugly) but I though in the New England fall I needed the protection and again I do not feel less resistance than the chopped version in fact more because of the surface area  Anyone around my hight with a recommendation would be appreciated..

I picked mine up and installed in a few minutes.

It does what I want it to do and looks good as well. The design does compliment the fairing curves.

Also, the top of the windshield curls forward to deflect the wind from your face.

I am looking forward to riding my "scoot" down to Daytona Bike Week this coming weekend with my buds to try it out on a 200 mile round trip.

Wish I could be riding like you down there in FLA but soon enough!

I think I'm going to have to stick with my Windvest 8".  Leave this shield to those that need more wind in their face/chest. :2vrolijk_21:

Anyone with a ride report and a picture report yet?

I just got back from Daytona Bike Week.

I took the opportunity to test out the Windsplitter windshield on my 2010 CVO Street Glide on I-95 for about 95 miles at various speeds from 65 to 90 miles per hour over sustained periods of time. I am pleased with how it performs as opposed to the stock shield.

It is real nice at 80mph and lower which I tested on the way back to Jacksonville on Route 1. So for me "It's a keeper".

FWIW: I am 6'2" tall (JCZ).

I am sure shields that are taller would improve the air flow more but for me this one works well and compliments the styling of the bike.
