Las Vegas to Death Valley

On February 5th we new we were going to get hit with another monster snow storm.....screw it, we flew to Las Vegas and rented a Corvette from Hertz and cruized!!!!!  :huepfenjump3:

Did stop at Las Vegas HD....

Saw the Terry Fader Show Friday night and the Jersey Boys on Saturday...both great shows.

Progress of the bridge near Hoover Dam...as you can see, rain and snow seem to follow us every where!!!!!

Stopped in Death Valley and had lunch at the Furnace Creek Lodge.

Notice, NO jackets, hats or gloves, Temp was 62 Degrees and we heard there was a blizzard going on in Maryland!!!

This was a great road, raced a Mustang GT for miles, he couldn't keep up!!!!!

Flew home to Maryland on Monday to 3 and a half feet of snow!!!!!

Looks like you made a good decision, loved the pics, My trip to the Grand Canyon some years ago saw me staning in snow but a sunny great day, you guys are made of stearn stuff to put up with that white stuff, denis.

It is actually a cattle grate, so those California cowes do not cross over into Nevada!!!

It is a cattle grate, they don't want California cows in Nevada...the speed limit was 55 for a while, when the road turned into a four laner, there was no posted speed limit.  I think the sign actually should have read 155 MPH!!!
