Vance and Hines Power Dual....If you ride hard beware!!
« on: February 18, 2010, 09:05:12 PM »

I install the V&H Power Dual on my FLHTK.  The fit was first rate like you would expect.  Looked and sounded great.

While riding down my local river winding road which I just love to lean through the turns it seemed that I was scraping more than usual.  I did not think much about it....just figured I was in the zone or needed air in my chocks.

Not the case, the Power Dual were scraping during right hand turns.  If you look at some of the photo you see that the Power Duals are lower than the stock pipes. If I would have know this I would have gotten the X pipe or the head pipe from fuel moto.

So if you ride hard and like to lean; you might reconsider getting the Power Duals....or scrap away :coolblue: :coolblue:

It scraps at the 4 to 5 o'clock position of the bottem pipe at the inlet and outlet of the power x.  You can't see it unless you look under the bike, I just can't turn right as hard as I have in the past.

Best to stop riding at 3:00 or go shortly after 5:00. ;D    Seriously though, my brother in-law had the same issues with the V&H's.
