This tell me that you have them there silver heads, my heads are black so it only shows on the out side of the spark plug, buy the way I drilled out the pressure whole to a larger size to release more pressure and faster start up's, just a thought here but if you took the valves off and took them apart you could tap the hole and insert a stainless steel tube and point it away from your heads [smiley=nixweiss.gif] like I said just a thought, good luck

I have the compression releases from Harely (blue button top)

I've put on over 4k miles on them. Never had any black streaks on my heads from the blow by.

Are your comp releases tight? Are you tuned correctly?

Check to see if there tight.

Good Luck,

I don't have a part number for the ones on my bike. I see the new ones HD offers look different than the ones I have. But the principle of expelling the gasses is still the same. Mine are the ones HD offered before these new SE PRO COMP RELEASES part #32076-04

Sorry I don't have any more info, but I feel there wouldn't be a difference between the two.

Hopefully you get your issue resolved,

Might also want to check out the ones being sold by TP they are a stainles steel looking compression release.   I had no throw back on my silver heads from them :)
