First things, I'd like to say hi to everyone and I hope to learn a lot of good things on this forum.  I'm investing in the Fat Boy Lo this spring and have been trying to gain as much knowledge as I can about the performance I want to have with it.
After looking at the different stage kits that are offered, the two choices that I've narrowed it down to are the 103 stage II and stage IV.
I'm no motor head and I've read a lot of different opinions on here about different cams. And the bike will be purchased with the kit installed and tuned so outsourcing cams from a 3rd party and having it installed with the kit is not ideal.  So here what it comes down to.
I've ridden a 09 CVO Springer and liked that power it had and I want to make sure that I'm not losing any from that bike. The 110 comes with the 255 cams but compression was 9.3:1 and the 103 will be 10.5:1.  Which cams should I get with the stage 4 kit?
1. Don't care about going speeds over 90-100 mph.
2. Will not be track raced or ridden extremely hard consistently.
3. Exhaust will be V&H Big shots staggered.  SE Heavy Breather intake

It's not just the cam that makes this setup come on late
This is a high rpm setup and not conducive to this 6speed bike IMO. Not too many are happy with these when they are done and I have recieved a lot of calls from guys wanting to know how to get their low end torque back. Those heads would be right at home on a 117"+ motor but will be very slugish with that bike and the gearing they come with. All the power will be from 3,500 up.
Consider using the SE MCR heads and have them opened up (chamber) or use the stock heads ported and a shorter cam. Setups such as this can make easily 110/110 and have a very healthy wide torque curve that comes on right off idle.

Thanks for the advice.  The more I read on this the more I realize that this maybe isn't the kit I'm looking for.  Might as well stay with the Stage II and maintain warranty because I'm not looking to run RPM's consistently high.  It sucks that HD sells this "kit" as if were almost plug in play with great performance.  Or maybe the target audience is a small few with a heavy bike, IDK.
So, if I were to have these heads below installed and opened up, what else what I need to complete it? race tuner, etc.?
Any good options to have these opened up in the Midwest? And/or would the Stage II kit with maybe a little mod be better off?
I'm guessing that if the warranty would be out the window if I had the motor running 115/115. But those numbers are what I'm looking for, just before the 6500 range. Also, what is the most common air cleaners that assist in producing power?
Sorry for all the questions, just want to get as close as possible to satisfaction when it's all said and done.

I think you are on the right track.
First thing is to figure out what kind of riding you do, and what you expect from a build.
Next, figure in your budget.
Then, figure out if you or someone you trust will put it all together.
Doing homework will help you in the long run.

The results I'm looking for is to be quicker than the 1010 CVO Springer that I loved to ride. It had exhaust and tune, but other than that it was stock.
I did look at the Stage III kit at first for a while, but still it seems a lot of people are not happy the way it comes and end up digging deep.  Stage III also voids the warranty, so I figured if I was going to void it with the Stage III, why not spend the extra money and go with the IV. But even the Stage III and IV still show the same power until around 4000RPM and up, which I'm not in search of.  Would be nice and all, but maybe throwing some other Screaming Eagles parts together for around the same price will produce better results in the quicker numbers from the 0-60 range.  If I have to go elsewhere for a set of cams and to get ported, thats fine.  But I would like to get everything installed and tuned together and be happy. I know that I can save money, better products, and on if I go to a 3rd party but I would like to throw these parts and tune into the purchase of the bike.

Now you have a ripper that is streetable and reliable
