I don't really want to jack the thread about the Daytona LaQuinta, but I have had a bad experience with one of their inns in Amarillo, Texas. The property looked to be a former Holiday Inn or such and was extremely run down.
The room was dirty, the bed mattresses were dirty with no pads, only dingy sheets.
The bathroom tile was missing grout in places and some tiles were broken.
The paint was mildewed around the baseboard and the room smelled musty.
The only reason we stayed is because it was after midnight when we got there and we were too tired to go any further.
In their defense, the morning clerk removed all charges from out credit card when Donna voiced her displeasure.
We have stayed at LaQuinta inns many times and the rest of them we stayed at have been good.
The inn in Santa Rosa, New Mexico is a really good one.
