How can I soften the ride?
« on: January 22, 2006, 08:49:04 PM »

I really like the lowered ride height of my '04 SEEG but I don't like the harsh ride especially over sharp bumps.

Along with that you may want to increase air pressure in your stock shocks first (maximum air pressure in manuals is incorrect). Check out this thread.

Hmm, that sounds like the excuse I told the wife when I first bought my [smiley=pumpkin.gif]... "Honey it will get better after you break the seat in." :D

I have the Progressive 440 Heavy Duty. I would not get the heavy duty again. My ride is still to firm. Go for the standard ones.

Just my 2cents.

I also installed the 440's, used the 11.5 inch to drop the rear a little more than stock.  They work, and have on every HD bike I've owned that came with air shocks.

Was running 10 psi pressure on my 04 SEEG per manual.  Jacked it up to 35 psi today and noticed a big difference, much softer ride.  Thanks to all for this thread!
