Does anybody have any advice as to at what point you are lugging this110 engine?  I imagine if you are doing 2000 rpm on the freeway doing 75 it would not be bad, if you are in 6th gear, but 2000 rpm pulling a hill in 3rd or 4th?  How does one calculate and know that you are lugging the engine?  Any rule of thumb info?   thanks.

I asked one of the guys at Annapolis HD the same question, and it seems that 2000 is the minimum. I usually try to keep it around 2500.

You can feel and hear it when the engine is "lugging". It is fairly distinct in my opinion and not really tied to an RPM but what you are asking the engine to do at that speed. It usually happens to me when I am in too high a gear and a downshift solves the problem.

At idle you're at 1,000 rpm ? These stroked TC's do not like to be lugged, Rule of thumb shifting through the gears, keep the r's up sweet spot 3700-4000 rpm or so, plus the torque curve and performance will be better too, especially two up. if you"re a lugger,, a great way to scissor your crank pre maturely....
