HD Museum
« on: March 02, 2010, 10:08:45 PM »

Is anybody went to the HD Museum yet? (yes I guess...)

Does the ride from Ontario worth it?

Need your input on this, thanks!

P.S. Yeah I know, it's not the destination, it's the journey...

HD Museum is nice. Would recommend the visit to anyone, not just Harley enthusiast.

We went when we attended the 105th birthday party. We'll go again when we're in Milwaukee. We'll give it a whole day instead of just 1/2. The wife and I really enjoyed it.

Already did the York Plant tour and can't have a day off that day... (great place to go tough)

I'm planning on going to Milwaukee in July

Wife, Kid and I all went during the 105th.  We loved it and hope to go back again on an "off" year.  The museum was about the only part of the whole dang 105th trip that was worth the hassle and money.

Ride Safe,

No, Bruce was great, and the traffic was way lite compared to the 100th.

I'm I Founding Member since before it opened for the 105th.
I'm lucky I can go 360 days a year, and really spend as little
or as much time as I want on each visit. They have many special
programs throughout the year, and they also have music nights
every other Friday night during the summer, "under the stars".
They change a lot of the bikes out too. Oh the restaurant has great
food ALL the time.
You can't go wrong spending a day or two there.

Yeah, Bruce was great.  Of course even though we got there 3 hours early we were still too far back for my wife or son to see the stage.  The traffic was lite compared to the 100th.  That's like saying the Katrina flood was lite next to Noah's flood.  True, but I don't want to swim in either of them thank you very much.

I'll catch Bruce at a regular old concert stadium and spend my time in Milwaukee when it ain't a-holes to elbows.  I loved the city and the people even more.  But there was nothing happening during the celebration that would call me to come back during the 110.

Ride Safe,
J-Carr

My favorite was the girl that was bartending the museum watering hole. Extra cute "girl next store" look. I went there (entire museum) last July 4th. I wondered how many times that poor girl had to put up with the Harley macho bravado throughout the season.

I thought the audio tour would not be that great but it turned out to be awesome. Just punch in the display number and get enlightened.

Well worth the trip.
