Your funny Dave.
That's exactly what I had planned. That's how I usually fix electronic shiit. Throw money at it!
Tried all the suggestions. Its dead and not coming back. Thanks for the help guys!

Steve

I've had to tighten those boot straps before...

1. hold electronic device tightly in right hand.
2. open trash lid with left hand.
3. slam it to the bottom.
4. close lid
5. fixed

Sorry you're having problems with it though, but just think of the new adventure to come learning a new device.

There will be no learning
Web site says 150.00 to rebuild it with the latest software. I'm in!
Just gotta pull it out of the trash.

You battery could be dead. If the battery goes dead the unit will not boot up, no matter what you do. Call Garmin and maybe they will send you a new one for free.

Welcome to the land of Zumo 550.  I have had mine replaced twice over the 3 years I have owned it.  Once under warranty, once last week for $150.  It is a common problem with this unit for some reason.  I hope the 600 series Zumo's dont have the same issues.
