My friend just got a chrome one that mounts on the switch housing.  He paid $10 to the dealer.  It was apparently just sitting there and they gave it to him for next to nothing.  He said it's a Kuryakyn part for a cell phone mount.  He just had to cut the size of the backplate down so it didn't stick out beyond the GPS unit.  I haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure I will soon...probably by next weekend.

Might be this one

http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go/Home.ProductDetail/catID/9/scID/13/IMID/931

I'm guessing that's the one and he said that the mounting holes lined up perfectly and the only problem was that it was too tall, so he cut it off and smoothed the edge that was cut.

Can Harley be so ridiculous? The 2010 CVO Ultras come with the gps built into the radio, the actual display is the small radio screen, not sure how good it can be. Now they come out with Black Out Ultra and it comes standard with the 660 unit. My new CVO Ultra just came in (not black) and I wanted the dealer to get the same mount they use for the 660 on the Black one and Harley will not provide it. They said it is Vin number controlled and only the black ones can have it. How ridiculous is that!  I mean why wouldn't you want all your customers to have the ability to finally have the best mount and position for the GPS on a full touring bike. I just dont get it, $40,000 bike and they jerk you around. No wonder Harley dealerships are going out of business like crazy, 3 in NJ in the last year alone. Harley has lost site of the consumer.

Is it a different mount from the one they sell, or maybe it is color matched to the inner fairing and as a painted part it's VIN limited.

Hey guys someone makes a mount that replaces the clutch fluid cover on the CVO bikes. I can't remember who it is. Anybody know? I've got a 660 and a great locking mount for it but I have the custom bars and am limited as to where I can mount. I've look at almost everything but can't remember where I saw the one I mentioned above. Help!!

Mike

Not sure what you are referring to.

I was answering the voices in my head that said something about a Gold Wing.  I thought.... :nixweiss:
