Feedback and advice welcomed!!
After seven days, I have some initial thought, questions, and comments. I swapped on a chopped tour pack, hard lowers, Corbin, Motolights, and CB from my 2008 last Sunday. Bad weather here , so just hit 500 yesterday afternoon. Now I can at least take it up to redline.
First the negative….
1.The 110 is not (yet) what I thought it would be. I was disappointed in my 96 as well, I guess the days of low end torque (2000 rpm) are behind us in factory engines. I’ll install a pair of Rineharts and a TTS this weekend and see what shakes out.
2. Sure hope these bags don’t drag. I am a very aggressive twisty rider, and am used to dragging board (right side) and kickstand (left), but that far back is a bad place to make contact…
3.The bike is not as agile and quick as my 2008. I can attribute that to weight and the handlebars? I prefer the stock bars I had on my o8. Where did we gain the additional 94 lbs. of weight? Too much chrome
Positive:
1.The 110 does have more torque than the 96, so the pipes and tune should help.
2.Looks, Fit, Finish are incredible.
3.Chassis is much more stable than the 2008, even with a stabilizer installed
4.Gearing is much better than the 2008.
It always takes a few weeks to “gel” with a new bike, so I am sure we will. I just hope it proves to have the awesome handling in the tight stuff that made me love my initial Road Glide.
