Engine Noise
« on: January 26, 2006, 11:47:18 AM »

I had the opourtunity to go for a ride yesterday for the first time after my 1000 mile service was done.  The engine now has a squeeling/chirping sound from the front when idling after warm up.  Trans. and engine oil levels seem O.K.  The sound is almost like metal and rubber making contact.  Any ideas??

Thanks,

Shotgun,
Funny how it started after you had it in for service.  My friend had his in for service and they volunteered to replace the motor mount during the service.  When he picked it up and fired it up, it was obvious they forgot to tighten it down (or test ride it) as it was making all kinds of noise.

Checked the motor mounts and they are fine.  Could the dealer have fogotten to put oil in the chain tensioner housing?  I did not open the cover.
