Yeah, 'er 'uh, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Neal Taylor just informed me he had Maudie all back together, and was putting new oils in all three holes, when he found excessive metal on the drain plug of my 6-speed transmission. Pulled the pan and found a piece of metal about an inch long, and maybe 1/8 to 1/4" in width, that had the appearance of having run through some gearing. He thought it may be part of a bearing retainer, maybe. Should have Her back together next week, hopefully.

Not such good news, but LUCKY again!

The transmission had not given me any indication of a problem, or impending failure. It really doesn't surprise me, as I have given it a very hard life. Just glad to catch it before it exploded! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] Later--HUBBARD
