Brandon Vera fighting on TV on Sun. 3/21/10

Brandon (Andy's son in law) will be fighting the main event UFC on the Versus sports network on Sunday evening.

This is what I found on the net:  The Ultimate Fighting Championship will air two live events on the channel due to the new contract agreement with UFC sister promotion World Extreme Cagefighting. The first UFC On Versus will air on March 21, 2010 headlined by Brandon Vera vs. Jon Jones in the Light Heavyweight division.

There was a contract issue with the network and Direct TV however, that was settled a couple of days ago and it will now be aired on Direct TV on channel 603.  I'm not sure about any of the other carriers however, since Direct TV is owned by Comcast, I'm sure that Comcast is airing Versus also.  For the other carriers you'll just have to do a search if you're interested in MMA fighting.

The Countdown to the UFC show on Versus gave a lot of info about both Brandon and Jon Jones.  Very good show.  If you get the chance to watch, do so.

Got a feeling that it is going to be a stand up slugfest.  Should be a really good fight!  Hopefully Brandon takes the next step in his career with this one.

Yea should be a good fight, see if fighting at 5200 feet affects either fighters stamina, I know Brandon was training up high at Big Bear.
