Change pads.  Lyndall or DP are pads better than OE for braking and better for dust.

Has anyone ever used EBC pads? I dont think anyone over here supp;ies Lyndall or DP pads are they really better than OE pads Don, I say that because I found OE pads to be pretty good, I only use two fingers for applying the brakes 99.9% of the time, and anyone that knows me, knows i'm a very late braker (from the sportsbike days :-[) Ady :bananarock:

I've put only a very few miles at any one stretch on the newer bikes with the Brembo brakes so can't offer a legitimate comparison to their OE pads versus anything else.  Prior to them, however, the Lyndalls were an improvement.  Both in the feel of the braking and in the amount of brake dust they'd deposit.

In my experience the DP pads were a little better so far as brake dust deposits were concerned.  I liked the braking feel of the Lyndall pads though.  Both noticably better than stock in both areas though.

Lyndall is the way to go for me. Almost no brake dust and great at stopping. Cheap fix for dust. I have an 07 SERK so i am not sure how the new brakes are.

Check their website for the part # and then check Ebay. Sometimes you will find them there a little cheaper.

For 2008 and later Touring models, the part number is 7254-Z for the Z Plus pad (recommended), or 7254-G for the Gold pad.  Read the description of the two versions on the Lyndall site, but for normal street riding you would be best served with the Z Plus version IMHO.

List price for the 7254-Z is $49.00, but I've found them in the past for around $42 at places like Eastern Performance, no tax and free shipping.  Checking eBay is a good idea; places like Eastern and many others have eBay stores.

Can I make a suggestion on buying ANYTHING pertaining to motorcycles.

Call Jim, hd-dude!
If you don't know him he's a site member.
He also gives a discount to site members.
OK yeah you may be able to buy the item a dollar cheaper from some fly by night, here today gone tomorrow internet vendor but how much do you really save when there's an issue? Jim is the most reliable and knowledgeable vendor I have ever dealt with and you deal with him not some call center in India. For me there is an tremendous value to the personal service he provides.
Just a suggestion and a good one at that!
IMHO!
